The NVDA training is split into 2 parts due to the heavy information in these workshops. Part 1: Civil Disobedience, of this workshop is necessary for understanding the information in this training, and occurs directly before this training from 14:30-16:00.
A short introduction covering the underlying strategy and practice of liaising with the police within the context of nonviolent civil disobedience at protest actions. If you are interested in getting involved in police liaison for your site or group in upcoming actions, this introduction will cover the basic dos and don't , hows and whys of what has evolved into a strategic part of the rebellion. It will be a basic workshop lasting around 90 minutes.Ideally participants should have NVDA training, Know Your Rights training and some action experience.

In this three-hour long, interactive training you will learn how to design an effective action. We will go through the basic principles of great non-violent direct actions. You will have space to discuss good and bad action design examples and will be designing your own actions during group exercises.Every part of AxR needs to become a laboratory for disobedience and action design.
