Training to run workshops to explore Animal Rebellion DNA, which includes our Culture, Story, Strategy and Structure. This online workshop is an opportunity to explore our personal and shared stories in Animal Rebellion. How do we frame our story as a movement? Why do we use certain words and concepts, yet avoid others? How does it reach out to people? What do we mean by our ‘shared vision of change?

Training to run workshops to explore Animal Rebellion DNA, which includes our Culture, Story, Strategy and Structure. Learn how to run this DNA session about our core purpose as a movement, what our goals are and what tools we use to get there.Learn about the pillars of support, why we aim our actions towards the Government, how we shift hearts and minds of the public and the key principles of Civil Disobedience. There is an opportunity to explore these concepts together and discuss our 2020 strategy.

A short introduction covering the underlying strategy and practice of liaising with the police within the context of nonviolent civil disobedience at protest actions. If you are interested in getting involved in police liaison for your site or group in upcoming actions, this introduction will cover the basic dos and don't , hows and whys of what has evolved into a strategic part of the rebellion. It will be a basic workshop lasting around 90 minutes.Ideally participants should have NVDA training, Know Your Rights training and some action experience.

Non-violent direct action (NVDA) is the primary means by which we enact change - it’s what Animal Rebellion is all about. This training gives you everything you need to take to action, and is essential for all rebels who wish to take to the streets to make our voices heard.The second part of this training is about the action: the dos and don’ts, the whats and hows, and everything else you will practically need when preparing to take part in direct action.

Action Wellbeing is an essential part of creating a regenerative action. It promotes the wellbeing of ourselves and others, strengthening connection and resilience. The training will explore some techniques including active listening, grounding and self soothing exercises, roles within Action Wellbeing, and what it might look like on the ground. This online workshop explores issues surrounding consent, sexual harassment, and rape culture. It aims to provide participants with a more in-depth understanding of what good consent looks like. It is an interactive workshop and participants are encouraged to contribute. Through this workshop and our introductory workshop, we hope to normalise discussions about consent in activist spaces, as we believe that consent should be at the heart of our values as activists.
