Non-violent direct action (NVDA) is the primary means by which we enact change, and this training is essential for all rebels who wish to take to the streets to make our voices heard.The first part of this training is about the thinking: why we use NVDA, why we choose non-violence and about our theory of social change.
This online workshop is an opportunity to explore our personal and shared stories in Animal Rebellion. How do we frame our story as a movement? Why do we use certain words and concepts, yet avoid others? How does it reach out to people? What do we mean by our ‘shared vision of change?
In this talk, Animal Rebellion will lay out in simple terms what has caused this current state of climate emergency, what could be coming next and, most importantly, what we can all do about it.Come along to learn more about the crisis gripping our beloved planet and its inhabitants, meet like minded people and discover Animal Rebellion's 2020 vision and strategy and how you can get involved.
This online workshop is an opportunity to explore Animal Rebellion UK’s structure of coordination and learn about how we make decisions.What are the key principles, ways of working and challenges of our Self-Organising-System and how is it expanding as we continually grow? Discuss leadership, autonomy and the fundamental building blocks of trust and communication.

This training gives you everything you need to take to action, and is essential for all rebels who wish to take to the streets to make our voices heard.The second part of this training is about the action: the dos and don’ts, the whats and hows, and everything else you will practically need when preparing to taking part in direct action.
Non-violent Direct Action is what Animal Rebellion is all about. In this three-hour long, interactive training you will learn how to design an effective action. We will go through the basic principles of great non-violent direct actions. You will have space to discuss good and bad action design examples and will be designing your own actions during group exercises.Every part of AxR needs to become a laboratory for disobedience and action design. If every person in every local group puts their mind to designing actions, imagine the possibilities!We encourage rebels to attend an NVDA and DNA workshop by AxR before joining this training. Please also note that this is an interactive session which will require active participation from those joining.
